Infographic: The Benefits of Outdoor Time for Students

August 25, 2016 | 1 comment

Students of all ages are headed back to school and, oh, the excitement! Fresh pencils, a bright white pair of K-Swiss, and a sweet new Trapper Keeper...oh wait, are none of those a thing anymore? Strike that and insert relevant 2016 references.

Back-to-school excitement fades quickly, though, once the demands of the school year start to pile up - homework, class time, and ever-important "socializing" with new friends on Snapagram or Twitbook. It all adds up to more time indoors in front of a glowing screen.

Whether you're a student yourself, the parent of a student, or just randomly dole out advice to unsuspecting youth; remember that time outside has some pretty powerful mind, body and spirit benefits that can't be taken for granted.

I would not have done well in school the way they are run today. I was a very fidgety kid and the only thing that got me through was recess and PE time. Add onto that the long walks I used to take with my father as a kid. People need the outdoors. Thanks for the graphic.
