With over 120 years of backpack development experience, we have led the international technical pack market for many generations. Our earliest years involved crafting beer garden tents for Oktoberfest, but since then, we invented the first bike-specific pack, developed the first trampoline-style back system to dramatically reduce perspiration, revolutionized the framed Kid Carrier, formed an all-female design team to develop women’s fit backpacks, designed the first women’s specific framed child carrier, and even had a CEO climb Everest in jeans. We no longer make tents for Oktoberfest (nor do we necessarily recommend you climb the world’s tallest mountain in jeans), but we still believe a good laugh and a hefeweizen should remain a strong part of our company culture! From backpacking to bike commuting, high alpine to the forests and crags, and even through the airport... we have you covered with innovative product for all types of adventure.

Guide 32+ SL
For experienced mountaineers hauling additional gear, the Guide series features a comfortable carry, solid load control and additional durability compared to our Guide Lite series. The 32+ SLhas padded VariFlex hip fins, a V-shaped internal frame for effective load transfer, front access U-zip and integrated helmet holder. This pack is also part of SL line, which is built for mountaineers with a shorter torso length, narrower shoulders, and curved hips. The SL line also has a more conical hip belt and slimmer straps to prevent chaffing.
